It is a promising new year, and what better way to start the year than to present a major achievement from the one before. In early December, the completion of the Antarctique was nearing its end, and the Czapek team were busy assembling and testing all the timepieces, to make sure clients got their much-awaited gifts before Christmas. We were privileged to witness the final assembly, as well as the handing over of the first Orion Nebula and Terre Adélie model to its first customers. Unlike the previous episodes, we decided to have less interviews/dialogues, because aside from allowing Julian, the watchmaker, to concentrate on his important work, we also wanted everyone to simply focus on the beautiful images of the assembly, to appreciate the impressive craft without other distractions. We held our breath at the reveal of the final outcome and the sight was as overwhelming as the team’s genuine emotion. The Antarctique can finally be where it truly belongs: on the wrists of its unique owners. |
